Fill basket fully (roughly 1:10)

Fine-medium — finer than drip, coarser than espresso
Water Temp
Start with hot water for a faster, gentler extraction
Time
4–5 minutes on the stovetop

Steps

  1. 1.Fill the boiler with hot water up to the valve line.
  2. 2.Fill the basket with coffee and level it — don't tamp.
  3. 3.Assemble the pot and place on medium heat with the lid open.
  4. 4.Remove from heat as soon as you hear gurgling.
  5. 5.Serve immediately.
